Make the Journey Tag

I'm here today with a fun project using Bo Bunny's Trail Mix Collection.  I just love this collection. I think I keep saying that with every post, but the more I work with it, the more I love it!

Here I've made an inspirational tag using various embellishments and alpha stickers.

The tag took its form by layering several papers, shapes and embellishments.  I also wanted to use all the great alpha stickers which just look great together.

It's so fun combining and layering different items and the look can be amazing.  Don't be afraid to mix and match and adding the layers to your projects.  With so many embellishment options in this collection, the possibilities are endless.  This will be a great tag to accompany a graduation gift, card or as an embellishment for a layout.

Get this bundle from Fotobella, dig into it and get creative!

Have a fabulous day!

I Caught A Fish!

Working with the Bo Bunny Trail Mix Collection for Fotobella has been really fun for me.  The I Want It All Bundle is packed with Trail Mix goodies and plenty of fun choices for those outdoorsy photos!  The collection reminded me of the photo I had stashed somewhere of my nephew when he’d caught his first fish.  It such a cute photo of when he was little and he was SO proud!

The fish patterned paper was perfect for creating a fun layered matte for the photo.  I then layered the embellishments on the page to resemble a mounted fish trophy.  I also found a fun die cut on one of my Cricut cartridges of the fish and a fishing rod, and I added that to the background of the layout.  I love how the layout came out.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a fabulous day!

Black Ice

Imaginisce's Black Ice is such a great collection.  The variety of black & white patterns all coordinate well together, allowing you to combine any of them together.  I like how using the black & white color scheme allows your eye to be drawn to the photo in the layout, despite all the pattern variety going on in the layout.

I hand cut hearts and pennants for my embellishments and layered them with circles.  I inked the hearts with white ink and matted the pennants with red for a pop of color.  Using white ink was perfect with this collection and I really like how it turned out.  I also love using my white gel pen whenever I can and it worked perfectly with this collection as well.

Supplies:

Imaginisce Black Ice Collection, White card stock, Red card stock, White Ink, Black Ink, Black & White twine, foam tape, Alligator Quickutz font, White gel pen.

Now for a fun project! So my friend is having a Wine Tasting Party for her birthday and everyone who brings a bottle of wine is supposed to hide the label.  I got to thinking, and thought aha!  Black Ice….perfect.  Perfect  fort adding class to a wine bottle.

I choose a few of the fun patterns, made a base for the label, hand cut the flower designs out and the flower petals to give them dimension.  I embellished the flowers with hot rocks.  I found this great saying on Pinterest and printed it out to make my own label.  It's just the saying for a get together with friends.

To go with the wine bottle, I made a candy holder to hold chocolates, a perfect pair to those dessert wines.  To make the holder, I used a cupcake wrapper cutout on the Cricut.  I free handed the inside piece by tearing it.  I added the same handout flower embellishment to the outside and then filled it with chocolates.  It's going to be fun party and the guest of honor is wearing Black Ice!

Supplies:  Black Ice Collection, Hot Rocks, I Rock, Xyron Adhesive Runner, Circuit Cupcake Cartridge.

Hope you have a fabulous day!

Happy Father's Day!

This months fabulous Fotobella I Want It All Bundle I had the pleasure of working with is Trail Mix by Bo Bunny.  It's such a great collection, very outdoorsy and masculine.  With Father's Day just around the corner, I came up with a card with the Trail Mix Collection.  It's a very simply card using one of the Free Cuts available at cricut.com right now for making Father's Day Cards.  The pattern is the Father's Day Card-Gone Fishing.

For the background of the card, I combined two patterned papers:  Mountain Air & Botany.  The reason for this was to get the blue color on the bottom to represent water and the brown/yellow color to represent a sunset.  I just love the combination.  Then I simply chose a dark blue teal cardstock and cut out the Gone Fishing Pattern on my Cricut.

Even if  you don't have a Cricut, to do this exact pattern, hopefully this gives you some ideas so you can come up with your own card!

Thanks for stopping by today and stay tuned for more projects featuring the Trail Mix Collection!  Have a fabulous day and a fabulous Father's Day!

Father's Day Is Coming

With Father's Day fast approaching do you have your gift already to go?  Made, wrapped, just waiting to be given on June 16?  No?  Well you can find some ideas here today, and by jumping over to the Imaginisce blog as well to see what the Design Team members have made for Father's Day!

I thought this year I would make my husband a bookmark for Father's Day.  He is always using slips of paper or miscellaneous items in lieu of a good ol' fashioned bookmark...so now he will have one!   The Outdoor Adventure Collection by Imaginisce is a great for project that needs that masculine feel and was perfect to put together this bookmark.

Layering was the key technique in this project, and mostly of embellishments.

I added dimension to the embellishments by adhering them with foam tape.  I added some Stickles to give it a bit of sparkle.

Supplies:  Outdoor Adventure Collection, Foam tape, Silver Stickles, Turquoise Stickles, Brown Ink, Sunset Sizzix Font, I Punch, Twine, Corner Rounder.

Being that it's a Father's Day project, there had to be sentiment on there letting that special guy know what a great Dad he is :)

Hope you found a bit of inspiration today, and find a fun and fabulous way to honor the Dad in your family.

Have a fabulous day!
