Inspired By Pinterest with Kiwi Lane

Hope you found yourself surrounded with joy this holiday season.  Although the holidays are wrapping up, I am sharing another holiday project using Kiwi Lane's designer templates.  This month Kiwi Lane has been featuring the Authentique Joyous Collection.  My project is "inspired by Pinterest".  I found this wreath made of out of mason jar lids and told myself I have got to try this.

And, so I did.  I began with spray painting mason jar lids red.  Wrapped them with strips of paper and gathered the lids with a ribbon to form the wreath.  I then embellished the wreath with the Kiwi Lane templates from the Christmas Accessory pack.

Templates used:  Christmas 2 and Christmas 3

Enjoy!

Advent Calendar with Imaginisce

Happy Holidays to everyone!  To help celebrate the holiday spirit this year I am sharing a beautiful Advent calendar I made with Imaginisce's Christmas Colors collection.  I've always wanted to make an Advent calendar of my own and this year I was up to the task!

Made with my Silhoette, the Advent is the Santa's Village Advent Calendar kit from SVGcuts.  When the kit came out this December, I had to have it.  It was THE project I wanted to feature for the Imaginisce Design Team and I was excited to use the Christmas Colors Collection to bring this to life.

I had a great time making this and my kids are really enjoying it!  I really like the large compartments in the calendar because they hold larger items and multiple items.  A must have feature for a family with more than one child.

I used the I-Rock and Stickles for the sparkly bling you'll see on the windows of the buildings and the clock.  Hope you and your family are finding fun little ways to enjoy this holiday season, as we are.

Have a fabulous holiday season!

Supplies:  Imaginisce's Colors of Christmas Collection, SVGcuts Santa's Village Advent Calendar, I-Rock, Hot Rocks, Stickles, Xyron Adhesive, foam tape, ink.

It's a Blog Hop with Kiwi Lane Designs

Hello everyone and welcome!  Thanks for hopping along with us today!  I'm with the Kiwi Lane Design Team and am sharing a fun project for you all today......

We've all heard of the December Daily and I don't know about you but I haven't executed the making of one or shall I say the "idea" of making one in time to actually use it during the month of December!

Well this year I did and here it is:

The mini album is made with Doodlebug Designs North Pole Collection and Kiwi Lane's designer templates.  I love this collection because of it's bright and festive colors.

Now because there are 25 pages in this mini album I'm not sharing all 25 pages today.  Today is a sampling of what's to come :)  And because I was organized enough to complete the album in time for December doesn't mean that I am on top of getting the photos in it for the last five days of December, ha!  So with that said, hear are some of the cutsie pages to tantalize your crafty taste buds.

This page is made using the Mini Scallops design templates.  I layered them and popped them up using foam tape.  I then layered the scallop circles for the bird embellishment.  Added a little twine, mini tags and bling.  Gotta have some bling ;)

Here I used the two ornament templates from the Christmas designer template package.  I also use the circles template to cut out the inside of one of the ornaments to create a frame.

A fun Christmas tree made with the scraps of paper that were casualties in the making of this album.

And here is the red circle from the inside of the ornament that was shown on one of previous pages.  I'm all about using scraps, negative pieces and whatever else I've got laying around me while I'm working to incorporate into my work.

Supplies Used:  Doodlebug Designs North Pole Collection, Kiwi Lane Designs Christmas, Mini Scallops and Circle templates, The Twinery baker's twine, Thickers, foam tape, Crop-a-dile, corner rounder, adhesive.

To share all of the December Daily, I plan on posting every Monday throughout December, to display the previous weeks photos and pages. So I hope you'll join me this coming Monday for some more fun!

Kiwi Lane & Teresa Collins Family Stories

My latest project with Kiwi Lane was such fun!  I created a double layout with Teresa Colllins Family Stories Collection and the funnest part was making a shaker box embellishment full of sequins!  The designer templates from Kiwi Lane made the process very simple.

For the fun borders that make up the background of the page are the Abby Road templates.

I cut a circle out of the polka dot paper using the circle template from the Tiny Shapes of the polka dot paper, placed a flower embellishment in the center with a brad, then cover it in beautiful, sparkly sequins!  Ooooh, ahhhh!  So pretty.

Then, I cut out another circle from the wood grain cardboard (part of one of the embellishment packages ;) and then used the smaller circle template to cut a circle out of the center.  This creates the window for the shaker box.

To keep the sequins in the shaker box, I cut a piece of plastic (from the same embellishment packaging!) and glued it to the back of the wood grained circle.  Lastly, I used foam mounting tape to put all the pieces togther to form the shaker box, and then shake, shake, shake those sequins!!

A few more lovely embellishment details to share.  I love the little candy dots!

Bo Bunny Pincushion Double Layout

Hello, it's Apryl with a project made with Bo Bunny's Pincushion Collection for Fotobella's Design Team.

Are you looking for a layout design that incorporates a lot of pictures and journaling while using the traditional style of scrapbooking.  If so, I've got a double layout for you today that fits the bill.

As you can see I used nine photos.  Wow! Nine!  and there's journaling and super cute embellishments!  Here's how to do the same thing with your photos:

1. Select a neutral background paper.  (Handmade back paper shown)

2.  Crop photos as needed and place on the background paper to get a feel for the layout.

3.  Matte the photos in white and begin filling in the blank spaces with various patterned papers. (Pincushion front, Backstitch back, Thread count front,Toile back)

4.  Decide what section will be for the title and for the journaling.

5. Then begin adding embellishments. (Noteworthy, Chipboard stickers, buttons, twine, Sew fun paper, Backstitch paper.)

Here is what your layout should look like:  Nice clean lines, lots of photos, lots of cute embellishments.

Visit Fotobella.com to get the Bo Bunny Pincushion Bundle so that you can recreate this layout for yourself.
