It's The Small Moments with ADORNit

Happy Friday!  How many of you order pizza on Friday nights?  We love it!  Seems like the perfect way to start the weekend if you ask me!  I've got some fun photos from one of our favorite places to go displayed in this layout that was inspired by a sketch from My Creative Scrapbook!

The paper is from ADORNit, the Blender Basics pad and the Chamberry collection.  I also added some ink, twine and journaling to complete the look.

Here's a close up of the fun layers.  For the curved piece I used my Creative Memories tearing tool.  Gives the edge just enough of that torn texture, perfect for a boy themed layout I think :)

I love this saying from the Chamberry cut a part paper and thought it went well with the theme of my layout.  Hope you all have a creative weekend and check out ADORNit.com for some fun products!

Fun Flamingo Layout with ADORNit

Hello friends,

Starting in October, I've had the pleasure of working with ADORNit and their fabulous products as an ADORNit Ambassador, aka "It Girl"!  It's been a ton of fun!!  Today I'm sharing a scrapbook layout made with ADORNit's Flamingo collection.

This collection is full of bright flowers and flamingos and makes for very fun layout!  I chose this photo of my daughter adorned in watermelons from head to toe to pair up with this collection and think it's a perfect match <3.  The red and white check paper and green patterned paper seemed a fitting choice for the photo matte.

I love fussy cutting (I find it relaxing!  weird? I know!) and went to town on the Flamingo "Be You" from the Flamingo Cut Apart paper from the collection.  The key to clean cutting is to use large scissors as opposed to small ones to keep the cuts smooth instead of choppy.  The larger scissors also take the curves well when turning around the shape.  ;)

Another technique I use often when scrapbooking is layering.  Here's a close up of the layered papers I used.  I inked the edges with brown and green ink so they pop off the page.

And then there's journaling....  always a tough one for me and often times I've got to force myself to write something, anything!  However, no matter how short or simple the sentiment, it's important to implement.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!  If you haven't yet tried ADORNit products, visit them at ADORNit.com and check it all out.  You'll love everything!  I do!

Have a fabulous day!

Awesome Times Basic Grey Sunkissed Layout

Let's take a step back from the holiday hub bub shall we?  And rewind to fun summer and spring colors with Basic Grey Sunkissed collection from FotoBella.com.  This collection is really cute and I love it!

I dug up some really adorable photos of my two loves on their first day of school.  My daughter was being super supportive of her brother's first day of preschool and these photos have captured that fabulous day!

There was so much I wanted to use from this collection, that I just went to town with the layers to incorporate it all.  I've got some tearing going on with the neutral background and I punched the large sunburst shape with one of my Lucky 8 Punches!  Who has those?  Aren't they fun?

You'll find some great cork stickers in the Sunkissed collection.  I layered this one on a piece of black card stock, added black diamond Stickles and a scalloped circle.

Here's a great view of the fun layering and the tags I added with some twine.  Go to FotoBella.com and check out this bundle for yourself.  It's a blast to play with!

Have a fabulous day!

Lots of layers Bo Bunny Carnival layout

Do you love seeing a lot fun layers in a layout?  If so, this is the layout for you!  Get the Bo Bunny Carnival I Want It All Bundle and head over to Fotobella's blog to see the full tutorial on how to make this layout.

I didn't hold back when it came to using a lot of patterns and layers.

**This has a lot pieces to layer, but I promise you this layering is worth it!

I journaled around the circles and traced the blue lines with Stickles.

Poolside foam thickers were used for my daughter's nickname "Kiki".

And here is the final result of all of that hard work of layering and stickling away.

Supplies Needed:  "Calliope" paper, Ephemera pack, Chipboard Stickers, "Funhouse" paper, yellow polka dot ribbon, Red & Blue Stickles, Cardboard, White card stock, 4x6 photo, Big Bite, Paper Trimmer, Scissors, Adhesive, Blue Pen for journaling, Poolside foam Thickers for Title.

Don't be afraid to use a lot of pattern paper and layers, it really does result in a great look.  Love this layout?  Love this collection?  Bo Bunny Carnival is at FotoBella.com and treat yourself to the "I Want It All" bundle.  Because we all deserve to have it all sometimes :)
