Patriotic Pinwheels with We R Memory Keepers

Happy Fourth of July!!  I've popped in to the blog today to share a quick and fun patriotic project using We R Memory Keepers Pinwheel Punch Board. It's a great way to come up with some fun decor in a snap.  The punch board is really easy to use.  Cut your paper in a square anywhere from 3" to 12", punch the corners with the punch in the top right hand corner of the board.  Then you line up your paper according to the size guides so that you can cut the slits that allow you to fold over the pinwheel pieces.  The secure the pinwheel, use a brad in the center.

I attached my to an adhesive foam board so that I can use it as a back drop.

Society Fifty-Two Challenge

Ok, it's been three weeks now since Society Fifty-Two launched it's weekly design challenges.  If you haven't checked it out yet on Instagram, you really should @society52.  It's awesome.  This weeks challenge was to use banners and the Thursday twist was to add 3 circles.

Here is my take on the challenge:

Banners are always fun to use on a layout.  On mine I chose to use large banners.  I added the circles with the embellishments.  The collection you see here is from Doodlebug Designs Day to Day collection. 

Lots of vibrant colors in this layout, which goes perfectly with the fun-loving photo of my son and his great fashion sense!  And in case you are wondering....he did wear that to school that day.
