Home Tweet Home with ADORNit

Happy Friday my crafty friends!  The holidays are upon us and for how many of you do holiday baking?  I love baking, especially for the holidays and so does my oldest daughter.  I'm sharing a baking themed layout made with ADORNit's Home Tweet  Home collection today.

I combined an assortment of a papers, journaling card and stickers to create the page.

I included the fun banners of "You're So Tweet" and "Birds of a Feather", the perfect phrases for the moment captured on camera of the little baker.

A little bit of hand journaling and some pretty Stickles to add some shine to the page made for a simple but cute layout.  Visit and check out this cute Home Tweet Home collection.

Have a fabulous day!

Blessed Boxwood Wreath with ADORNit

Fun fall projects are here friends!  I've been busy with my Silhouette Cameo and ADORNit products to create this beauty, a 3d boxwood wreath.

The cut file is compliments of Furrow and Feather at the online Silhouette store.  Isn't it fun?  I chose two different ADORNit papers for the leaves, the Mint Chevron from the Blender Basics and the small flower patterned paper.  Now at first, when I cut out all these pieces, I was like hold up a minute!!!  That's a lot of pieces!  But then I visited and she assembled this baby in no time!  haha!

Before assembling, I inked some of the leaf edges with ink and then set to it.  Honestly, it was a breeze!  And wow, what a beauty!

I cut out the "Blessed" piece from the Sunflower Cut Apart 12"x12" ADORNit paper and hung it in the center with twine.

What fall projects have you got in the works?  Willing to try this fun wreath?  I hope so!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous fall day!

It's The Small Moments with ADORNit

Happy Friday!  How many of you order pizza on Friday nights?  We love it!  Seems like the perfect way to start the weekend if you ask me!  I've got some fun photos from one of our favorite places to go displayed in this layout that was inspired by a sketch from My Creative Scrapbook!

The paper is from ADORNit, the Blender Basics pad and the Chamberry collection.  I also added some ink, twine and journaling to complete the look.

Here's a close up of the fun layers.  For the curved piece I used my Creative Memories tearing tool.  Gives the edge just enough of that torn texture, perfect for a boy themed layout I think :)

I love this saying from the Chamberry cut a part paper and thought it went well with the theme of my layout.  Hope you all have a creative weekend and check out for some fun products!

Happy with ADORNit Watercolour Pencils

Let me just start with how much fun I'm having as an ADORNit "It Girl"!  One of my discoveries while doing this gig are the ADORNit watercolour pencils...I mean where have these been all of my crafty life?!?  It's quite possible I've been in the dark on this one,  and if you have also, well now I'm shining a bright light for ya!  TRY THESE PENCILS!!!  They'll transform your adult coloring experience!!

Here's how:  First of all, I started small.  A Happy card from one of ADORNit's coloring pads.  I wanted to experiment with blending so I chose a couple of colors: aqua, navy and black.  I colored the aqua in the middle of the H.

Then I outlined the aqua with the navy color.

I did the same with each letter, with the pinks and yellows.  After it was all colored in, I filled that fabulous water brush the set comes with, with water and slowly began going over the letters.  working from the inside of the letter out.  And this is what resulted from it!!!  I love it!

Want to have some watercolor fun of your own? Snag these pencils!  Go to or Amazon has them too!  I'm not kidding, they are AMAZING!  Thanks for stopping by today and thank you ADORNit for such fabulous products!

Fun Flamingo Layout with ADORNit

Hello friends,

Starting in October, I've had the pleasure of working with ADORNit and their fabulous products as an ADORNit Ambassador, aka "It Girl"!  It's been a ton of fun!!  Today I'm sharing a scrapbook layout made with ADORNit's Flamingo collection.

This collection is full of bright flowers and flamingos and makes for very fun layout!  I chose this photo of my daughter adorned in watermelons from head to toe to pair up with this collection and think it's a perfect match <3.  The red and white check paper and green patterned paper seemed a fitting choice for the photo matte.

I love fussy cutting (I find it relaxing!  weird? I know!) and went to town on the Flamingo "Be You" from the Flamingo Cut Apart paper from the collection.  The key to clean cutting is to use large scissors as opposed to small ones to keep the cuts smooth instead of choppy.  The larger scissors also take the curves well when turning around the shape.  ;)

Another technique I use often when scrapbooking is layering.  Here's a close up of the layered papers I used.  I inked the edges with brown and green ink so they pop off the page.

And then there's journaling....  always a tough one for me and often times I've got to force myself to write something, anything!  However, no matter how short or simple the sentiment, it's important to implement.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!  If you haven't yet tried ADORNit products, visit them at and check it all out.  You'll love everything!  I do!

Have a fabulous day!

Go Team with BoBunny Game On

Hello there!  I have a couple of layouts featuring one popular team sport, Soccer with two of my favorite companies:  BoBunny &!  My youngest daughter started playing soccer when she was two.  A very informal team that basically gets the kids running the field and learning the basic concepts.  Man do I have some cute photos from that! Soccer and sunglasses go hand in hand for this cute little girl out on the soccer field!

A couple of close ups of how I implemented journaling.

The layouts are made with BoBunny's Game On! Collection from  I designed both layouts separately, but may decide to match up in the album as a double layout.  That may involve a little tweaking of the pages later so that they are a good match.  But that's all part of the fun of designing and crafting :)

As you can see the design is consistent with the soccer ball print paper and torn edge of the blue paper.  Inked the edges with dark brown ink (Quick Quotes Java) and added the dark blue rhinestones along with a few pearls.  There's alway a way to add the glam factor :)

Here you can see the pennant banner is accented with rhinestones.

A mixture of the chipboard stickers and pieces from the Noteworthy packet make up the embellishment collage.  And on the second layout I again added journaling to the Noteworthy pieces as well as creating a journal box below the collage with doodling.  BoBunny has created the perfect collection for highlighting your children's sport photos.  You should check it out at  You'll find that it will work for many sports, not just soccer.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a fabulous day!

Hello Love Layout with Simple Stories Love and Adore

Hello there, today I'm sharing a FotoBella's design team  project with you.  I don't know about you but I can't get enough of this cute Simple Stories Love and Adore collection.

I had to use this background paper because I just love it!  And it didn't take much to pull this layout together. I chose a 4"x6" photo of my two cuties from a few years ago and cropped it down to 3"x6" I then double matted it with black and white cardstock.  I kept the white border thicker so that I could embellish it with the enamel dots.  The title "Hello Love" is from the Chipboard sticker pack along with the flowers and the hearts.
I also added fun embellishments below the photo.

Sometimes you may see my layouts with journaling and without.  I do plan to add some journaling in the white space area, but I've found that for me, its better to do that later.  I prefer putting the layouts into the book, and then journal to help create a storyline and good flow between layouts.  Otherwise, I  have found that my journaling gets repetitive and boring....names, date, occasion with generic captions because I can't think of something else to write.  Does that seem to happen to you?

Hope you found some inspiration today and find yourself busy crafting with Simple Stories Love and Adore collection from

Have a fabulous day!

Well Hello!  I know this may be shocking you right now, a new blog post popping up on my blog today?!? I know, I know, I've been MIA!  But trust me, with good reason!  The last half of 2016 was spent designing and making page kits for FotoBella as well as my husband and I deciding to sell our house to buy a new one that better suited our families needs and well, move in December, just before Christmas!  Now, wouldn't you know it's February already and Valentine's Day is right around the corner!?!

I'm so happy to say that I'm back at the crafting table, in my new craft studio (hooray!) and designing projects for FotoBella :)  Today it's with the fabulous Simple Stories Love & Adore collection which can be found at and is just the right collection to inspire some "love"ly crafts!

I've got a confession, every year around this time, the dollar spot at Target has these cute little tin mailboxes, and every year I buy some....and this is year I finally use them in a project!  I'm sure many of you can relate :)  For this project I'm using the Simple Stories Love & Adore collection to embellish a turquoise and white mailbox.

This is really a fast and easy project and just so cute!  Perfect for the kiddos to take to school for their Valentine exchange or to tuck a few Valentine goodies of your own to give as gifts.

To start, I cut a piece of "So Happy Together" paper and "Elements" Paper that measures 12"x4" so that it would wrap around the body of the mailbox.  It really fits perfectly, but one thing worth mentioning is that you do have to cut a notch out so that the flag on the mailbox is not covered up and moves properly.

For the embellishments, I sorted through the Card Stock Die Cut Ephemera Bits and Pieces. The sizes of these pieces are just right for this project and there are lots of pieces to choose from.  I layered them up and added a few enamel dots and some twine.  It really is that simple, but that's what make working with Simple Stories products so awesome :)  Find them here at

So happy to share my first design team project for the year with you!  Looking forward to many more!
