Awesome Times Basic Grey Sunkissed Layout

Let's take a step back from the holiday hub bub shall we?  And rewind to fun summer and spring colors with Basic Grey Sunkissed collection from FotoBella.com.  This collection is really cute and I love it!

I dug up some really adorable photos of my two loves on their first day of school.  My daughter was being super supportive of her brother's first day of preschool and these photos have captured that fabulous day!

There was so much I wanted to use from this collection, that I just went to town with the layers to incorporate it all.  I've got some tearing going on with the neutral background and I punched the large sunburst shape with one of my Lucky 8 Punches!  Who has those?  Aren't they fun?

You'll find some great cork stickers in the Sunkissed collection.  I layered this one on a piece of black card stock, added black diamond Stickles and a scalloped circle.

Here's a great view of the fun layering and the tags I added with some twine.  Go to FotoBella.com and check out this bundle for yourself.  It's a blast to play with!

Have a fabulous day!

Bo Bunny Dear Santa Christmas Card Layout

What will you be busy doing once you finish carving up that Thanksgiving turkey?   Christmas shopping? Holiday cards? Spending time with friends and family and holiday paper crafting!?!  I know I'll be doing all of the above!

Bo Bunny's Dear Santa Collection from FotoBella is a great way to persevere those memories you create during the holidays and make some fabulous Christmas projects.    Every year I send out Christmas cards with family photos and I keep one from each year so that I can scrapbook them.  I'm sharing this layout today with our family Christmas card from 2010.

I wanted the card to be the focal point of the page, and used a variety of papers to layer behind it to pick up the colors from the card.

I chose the dear, arrow and holly berries from the Bo Bunny Dear Santa ephemera pack for embellishing.

I added a cute border along the bottom of the card that comes in the I Want It All bundle.  This layout is really very simple in design and only takes a short time to make.

Visit FotoBella.com and get your Dear Santa I Want It All bundle right away!  You need it to get your Christmas craft on!  Hurry, these bundles sell out quick!  I've missed out on a few myself, so go, go go!

Have a fabulous day!

December Stories with Bo Bunny Dear Santa

The holiday season is fast approaching and I've been busy crafting with the  Dear Santa Collection by Bo Bunny at FotoBella.com.  Let's be honest, the holidays are always arrive, before we are ready and are over in a blink of an eye.  This layout I'm sharing today is one I had to play "catch up" with from a Christmas past.

Dear Santa is a bright and colorful collection that partners perfectly with some Christmas photos of mine from 2009.  I had started a layout with these photos awhile ago but the layout needed it's second page before going in the album.

Papers used from the collection:  Dear Santa, Wonderland, and Festive.
Photos Sizes used:  (2) 4x6 and (4) wallets.

I created the large shape using my Creative Memories Large Bracket from their cutting system.  The same thing can be done with your Silhouette, Cricut, Super 8 punches, etc.  Use your favorite shape and matte with a solid color cardstock to make it pop!  If you want to get a lot of photos on one page, creating a collage, like I did here, is a great way to do so.

I kept the embellishments simple for this layout, since they are a lot of patterns in the paper.  The star border along the bottom is from the layered chipboard pack as well as the "December Stories" banner at the top of the collage.

Preserve your memories of Christmas past or present with the fun BoBunny Dear Santa I Want It All Bundle from FotoBella!  You will love this collection as much as I do!

Have a fabulous day!

The Christmas season is fast approaching and it's time to get busy making Holiday crafts!  What better way than with Bo Bunny's Dear Santa I Want it All Bundle from FotoBella.com.  Are you ready for all this holiday cheer?  It's Apryl, FotoBella Design Team member with a cheery holiday double layout to share with all of you today.

Paper used to make this layout:  Dear Santa, Advent, Season, Snowfall and Festive.

There's a couple things I fell in love with right away in this collection.  One was the bright colored striped paper and the second was all the fun squares.  I hand cut out all the squares, inked the edges and used a couple for journaling.

This came out such a fun and bright layout.  Perfect for holiday photos.

Trick or Treat Layout

Do you like tricks or do you like treats?  My Mind's Eye Something Wicked Bundle from FotoBella.com has just what you need for tricks or treats.  Apryl with the Design Team here with my latest layout featuring photos of a buffet of Halloween treats.  Scary, gory, creepy treats.....it's okay, the Something Wicked's skeleton says "Eat, drink and be scary"!  Boo!

This is such a fun collection and I've been dying to use the paper with the stylin' skeleton.  I think he approves of all the spooky treats!

I used mostly embellishments to make this page.  The chipboard stickers, puffy stickers, sticker labels, mixed bag, and flair are all on this layout.

If you like all the treats you see, it's no trick that FotoBella.com has them all in the My Mind's Eye Something Wicked I Want it All Bundle.   Head over there and check it out for yourself!

Happy Halloween!

Let's Decorate for Halloween!

My Minds Eye nailed it this year when it came to designing a killer Halloween collection.   There were so many ideas I couldn't wait to try when my I Want It All Bundle arrived from FotoBella.com.

Frameables art is part of this collection and makes it really simple to make into decor.  I took the "It's the Wind and Nothing More" piece and framed it with a black 8"x10" glitter frame that I had picked up on clearance at Michaels over the summer.  I knew I would need that frame for something!  Paired with this twisted black wreath looks spooky on the wall together.

Next up on the decor list is candles.  I have a ton of these vanilla colored LED candles.  They are great for because they go with everything and easy to alter for any occasion.

For this candle, I chose the Black Tie Bones Elixir sticker from the Something Wicked Sticker Labels.  I matted the sticker with dark red card stock and fussy cut it out.

For anther candle, I cut a strip of "Going Batty" paper approximately 3 inches wide and the length to wrap around the candle.  I added a black glittered ribbon tied around the paper strip.

Here's another fun one!  The skeleton I had in my decor stash.  I think I got him a couple years ago from Target.  He needed a fresh face!  I just love the Top Hat and spectables look, who doesn't like a good mustache?  This guy is stylin' now.  I fussy cut this classy skull face from the "Bootacular" paper.

Here's how the whole look came together.

How will you decorate this Halloween?  Visit FotoBella.com for some great product to get started with.  Something Wicked perhaps?

Until next time,

Zombie Invasion and My Minds Eye Something Wicked

Finally, it's October!  And with October brings Halloween, and what does Halloween bring?  Ghosts, goblins and ZOMBIES!  My latest layout for the FotoBella Design Team is made with My Mind's Eye Something Wicked I Want It All Bundle from FotoBella.com.  Last Halloween I dressed as a zombie for the costume theme at work and actually won for scariest costume!  See the costume in my "Something Wicked Layout" blog post

There are a ton of great papers in this collection.  I love this plaid pattern and it has a fun black glitter stripe that runs through it.

The mixed bag of embellishments have some great choices for embellishing.  The pointing finger is one I was trying to use on every layout I made, ha!  Finally made one that it worked with.

And this flair with this happening skeleton in cool shades?  So cool and creepy at the same time!

Hope you found some spooky inspiration and visit FotoBella.com for your very own Something Wicked My Mind's Eye bundle.

Have a spooky day!

EEK It's Something Wicked!

It's spectacularly spooky at our house now!  My Mind's Eye Something Wicked has a little bit to do with that!!  It's such an awesome Halloween collection and FotoBella.com has the I Want It All Bundle just waiting for you!

One of my obsessions this year has been the DIY marquee lights from Heidi Swapp.  I couldn't not wait to make a set to go with my Halloween decor, complete with orange and purple lights!  These letters are a piece of cake to do and fully customizable.

It comes with the letter template so you simply trace cut and paste the letter shape into the marquee, add the lights, and decorate the outside edge if you please.

The outside of these letters I covered with black glitter tape.  It really makes the letters pop!  EEK!

Get ready for Halloween with Something Wicked!

Spooky Halloween Tree

I LOVE Halloween!  Given the chance to work with My Minds Eye Something Wicked Bundle from FotoBella.com meant decorating in September, Eeeeek!  So fun!  I've been dying to decorate since spooky items started showing up on the Michaels shelves this summer.  I couldn't resist buying a twisted, spooky tree from Michaels.  To decorate it, I used the Mixed Bag from My Minds Eye Something Wicked.  Using my tag punch, I made tags with various printed papers and layered them with embellishments.

I love the black glittered pieces.  They look so cool!

This cat I added the mustache to is my favorite tag.
=

There are plenty of spooky elements that I left the way they were like and just punched them into tags.

I inked the tags with black ink and hung them all over the tree.

I think it looks pretty spooky, how about you?

Have a Spooky day!

Paper Plane Lane Boutique

Wow, can you believe summer has come and gone already?  My kiddos started school this past week, and although we filled our summer days with fun vacations and activities, it didn't seem to be long enough.  Is it ever?  Amongst all the summer sun and fun, I was offered a great opportunity by Paper Plane Lane Boutique to become one of their blog contributors.

Paper Plane Lane is a children's boutique owned by two fabulous moms!  I was beyond excited to become part of their team.  I've been a huge supporter of shopping small and Instagram shops and that's how I found this fabulous shop.  And now I also get to blog for them about my favorite subject, DIY!  It's a great opportunity for me to share my projects, some that don't always involve scrapbooking, which has been my primary focus on this blog.

Here are some of my fun projects that have been featured on their blog paperplanelane.wordpress.com:

Most of the projects feature full tutorials or "how to" advice.  Hope you'll stop by and check some of them out and stay tuned for more fun projects in the future.  And if you're looking for cute clothes and accessories, Paper Plane Lane Boutique is a great shop!

Have a fabulous day!
