Another Inspired By Pinterest

It's Pinterest Day with Kiwi Lane, one of my favorite blog posts to do!  And....I got to work with my all time favorite company....My Mind's Eye!  Love, love, love them and the Chalk Studio Collection!

Here's the pin that I used for inspiration:

What I loved about this layout is the fold over of the paper to reveal the photo.

Here's my layout:

I used the fold over to reveal my journaling.

To start, I placed the templates on the page.  I used the Wacky and Celebrate designs.

The cloud made the perfect background for my journaling.

A really fun layout that was super easy to do thanks to Kiwi Lane and their fabulous designer templates!

Have a fabulous day!

Inspired By Pinterest

Happy Friday!  It's Inspired By Pinterest day with Kiwi Lane Designs today!  We have been partnered up with We R Memory Keepers this month and it's been so much fun.

Here is the pin that inspired me:

I found the layout done on the diagonal very intriguing.

I took that inspiration and created a double layout, placing the photos on an angle and pairing it with the Chevron design templates.

Tiny Accents templates made for great embellishments and went well with the We R Memory Keepers Hip Hip Hooray Collection.

Hope this inspires you!

Have a fabulous day!

Kiwi Lane Blog Hop

Welcome to today's blog hop!  Oh, it should be so much fun checking out everyone's fabulous projects and seeing different ways to use the designer templates.  I'm sharing a layout featuring the Tiny Floral and Tiny Sweetheart templates.

I combined two collections for this layout:  Simple Stories Fabulous and Echo Park's Sweetest Day.  I was digging through my stash and came across these gems!  As you can see the color  scheme and patterns work very well together.

I absolutely LOVE the fun flowery patterns!  Especially the Kiwi Lane flowers!

I had such a great little model for these photos!  G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!  and I love the layout also ;)

So much flowery cuteness I just can't stand it!  And I must say the layout came together like a breeze thanks to Kiwi Lane's templates!  Frame it up, cut it out and glue it down.  Simple as that!

Now keep hopping through the list, and be sure to leave comments at every stop.

A random winner from ONE of the participating blogs (including the Kiwi Lane blog), will be given a$25 gift certificate to the Kiwi Lane Shop, for leaving a comment and will be announced on the Kiwi Lane blog on Thursday, MARCH 13TH.

Hello!  I'm sharing my Tip Time Time Tuesday with Kiwi Lane Designs using Hemptique’s yarn and the Sweetheart accessory templates.  I'm showing how to use the templates in an altered project and to matte a photo.

For Hemptique, I chose to work with the yarn because I knew immediately what I was going to make, a Dreamcatcher!

To start, I took a small embroidery hoop and wrapped it with white Hemptique yarn.  I then made the web of the dream catcher with the orange Hemptique yarn.  To figure out how to make the web, I looked it up on You Tube of course!  Here is the video tutorial I used:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlvYbLIXkRU

To decorate the dreamcatcher I cut out feathers from patterned paper in Fancy Pant’s What A Wonderful Day collection and attached them with yarn and beads.

I used the Kiwi land designer templates to matte the photo I wanted to use on the dreamcatcher.  I added some flair and some beads for the finishing touch.

Templates Used:

Sweetheart 2 & 3

Now I'm off to hang this in my daughter's room :)

Inspired By Pinterest with Kiwi Lane

Hope you found yourself surrounded with joy this holiday season.  Although the holidays are wrapping up, I am sharing another holiday project using Kiwi Lane's designer templates.  This month Kiwi Lane has been featuring the Authentique Joyous Collection.  My project is "inspired by Pinterest".  I found this wreath made of out of mason jar lids and told myself I have got to try this.

And, so I did.  I began with spray painting mason jar lids red.  Wrapped them with strips of paper and gathered the lids with a ribbon to form the wreath.  I then embellished the wreath with the Kiwi Lane templates from the Christmas Accessory pack.

Templates used:  Christmas 2 and Christmas 3

Enjoy!

It's a Blog Hop with Kiwi Lane Designs

Hello everyone and welcome!  Thanks for hopping along with us today!  I'm with the Kiwi Lane Design Team and am sharing a fun project for you all today......

We've all heard of the December Daily and I don't know about you but I haven't executed the making of one or shall I say the "idea" of making one in time to actually use it during the month of December!

Well this year I did and here it is:

The mini album is made with Doodlebug Designs North Pole Collection and Kiwi Lane's designer templates.  I love this collection because of it's bright and festive colors.

Now because there are 25 pages in this mini album I'm not sharing all 25 pages today.  Today is a sampling of what's to come :)  And because I was organized enough to complete the album in time for December doesn't mean that I am on top of getting the photos in it for the last five days of December, ha!  So with that said, hear are some of the cutsie pages to tantalize your crafty taste buds.

This page is made using the Mini Scallops design templates.  I layered them and popped them up using foam tape.  I then layered the scallop circles for the bird embellishment.  Added a little twine, mini tags and bling.  Gotta have some bling ;)

Here I used the two ornament templates from the Christmas designer template package.  I also use the circles template to cut out the inside of one of the ornaments to create a frame.

A fun Christmas tree made with the scraps of paper that were casualties in the making of this album.

And here is the red circle from the inside of the ornament that was shown on one of previous pages.  I'm all about using scraps, negative pieces and whatever else I've got laying around me while I'm working to incorporate into my work.

Supplies Used:  Doodlebug Designs North Pole Collection, Kiwi Lane Designs Christmas, Mini Scallops and Circle templates, The Twinery baker's twine, Thickers, foam tape, Crop-a-dile, corner rounder, adhesive.

To share all of the December Daily, I plan on posting every Monday throughout December, to display the previous weeks photos and pages. So I hope you'll join me this coming Monday for some more fun!

But today, hop away with Kiwi Lane and see what other fabulous projects are being shared today.  Here is the blog hop order:

Kiwi Lane & Teresa Collins Family Stories

My latest project with Kiwi Lane was such fun!  I created a double layout with Teresa Colllins Family Stories Collection and the funnest part was making a shaker box embellishment full of sequins!  The designer templates from Kiwi Lane made the process very simple.

For the fun borders that make up the background of the page are the Abby Road templates.

I cut a circle out of the polka dot paper using the circle template from the Tiny Shapes of the polka dot paper, placed a flower embellishment in the center with a brad, then cover it in beautiful, sparkly sequins!  Ooooh, ahhhh!  So pretty.

Then, I cut out another circle from the wood grain cardboard (part of one of the embellishment packages ;) and then used the smaller circle template to cut a circle out of the center.  This creates the window for the shaker box.

To keep the sequins in the shaker box, I cut a piece of plastic (from the same embellishment packaging!) and glued it to the back of the wood grained circle.  Lastly, I used foam mounting tape to put all the pieces togther to form the shaker box, and then shake, shake, shake those sequins!!

A few more lovely embellishment details to share.  I love the little candy dots!

Cut & Paste with Kiwi Lane

I'm super excited to be here sharing my first project for the Kiwi Lane Design Team, yay!  I had the pleasure of working with American Crafts Amy Tangerine's Cut & Paste Collection.  And what a fun collection it is!  Combined with the Kiwi Lane templates featured this month, I am showing how you can make a non-traditional fall layout with 3D embellishments.  The colors of the this collection compliment my photos, making this layout work.

Using the pumpkin shape from the Holiday templates, I cut out three pumpkins from the same paper.

I then folded two of the pumpkins in half, and glued all three of them together along the folds.  Tada! a 3D popup pumpkin embellishment.

I paired the pumpkins up with the fun embellishments in the Cut & Paste paper collection to embellish the page.

I also created a fun card using the same technique with the butterfly shape from the Nature templates.
