Fun Flamingo Layout with ADORNit

Hello friends,

Starting in October, I've had the pleasure of working with ADORNit and their fabulous products as an ADORNit Ambassador, aka "It Girl"!  It's been a ton of fun!!  Today I'm sharing a scrapbook layout made with ADORNit's Flamingo collection.

This collection is full of bright flowers and flamingos and makes for very fun layout!  I chose this photo of my daughter adorned in watermelons from head to toe to pair up with this collection and think it's a perfect match <3.  The red and white check paper and green patterned paper seemed a fitting choice for the photo matte.

I love fussy cutting (I find it relaxing!  weird? I know!) and went to town on the Flamingo "Be You" from the Flamingo Cut Apart paper from the collection.  The key to clean cutting is to use large scissors as opposed to small ones to keep the cuts smooth instead of choppy.  The larger scissors also take the curves well when turning around the shape.  ;)

Another technique I use often when scrapbooking is layering.  Here's a close up of the layered papers I used.  I inked the edges with brown and green ink so they pop off the page.

And then there's journaling....  always a tough one for me and often times I've got to force myself to write something, anything!  However, no matter how short or simple the sentiment, it's important to implement.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!  If you haven't yet tried ADORNit products, visit them at ADORNit.com and check it all out.  You'll love everything!  I do!

Have a fabulous day!

Happy Times Layout with Basic Grey Barista

Basic Grey Barista Bundle from FotoBella.com is the latest bundle I got my hot little hands on to work with.  It's a great collection with neutral colors.  The yellow patterned paper and turquoise sequins make for a fun pop of color.  It's always fun to sift through my photos to see what will work with my latest FotoBella bundle.  In this case the Aspen Wedding ceremony photos were a perfect match.

I added some fun to the page by fussy cutting the leaves and just letting them fall on the page for a natural look.  I did the same thing with the sequins.  And if they fell on the photo, that's where they stayed.   I like the look it created.

This truly was the perfect day. The weather and venue couldn't have been more beautiful for this amazing wedding.

Bo Bunny Juliet Card

One of my new favorites (I seem to have a lot of those :) is Bo Bunny's Juliet collection.  Thanks for FotoBella.com this was the bundle that I received for Design Team projects this month and the collection is really amazing.  I recently made a card and the full tutorial is featured on FotoBella's blog if you want to check it out.

One thing to note about this card, it is made almost entirely with the Ephemera pack that come with the Juliet collection.  The paper, embellishments with two exceptions are right out of the Ephemera.  The key and the layered chipboard sticker are the exceptions.

Here's a detailed closeup.  The colors and flowers are really beautiful, don't you think?

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Bo Bunny Juliet Layout

I must confess....I'm in love with Bo Bunny's Juliet collection.  Have you seen it?   The I Want It All Bundle from FotoBella.com is packed full of fabulous stuff!  I especially adore the roses and fleur de lis in this collection!

Today I'm sharing a layout for FotoBella's Design Team using this collection of me and my hunny from when we were in Aspen, CO for a wedding.

There are a lot of layers in this layout.  Each layer has a torn edge and all edges are inked so that they stand out against each other.  I kept the colors light so that the eye would be more drawn to the photo in the center.

I took some gold twine and laid it down between some of the layers, fussy cut the roses and "My Beloved" sticker for the embellishments.

A few things that aren't included in the bundle but found it's way on this layout are Stickles and sequins.  I used the Stickles to add sparkles to the roses and randomly glued the sequins throughout the layout.

Check out the Bo Bunny Juliet I Want It All Bundle at FotoBella.com so you can get started on your own fabulous projects.

Have a fabulous day!

Precious Baby Layout

Have baby photos that need to be scrapped?  I sure do!  Graphic 45 Precious Memories is a gorgeous collection for those precious baby moments.  I love how feminine this collection is and all the cute babes featured in all elements of this collection.

I chose the tiny hearts pattern for the base of my page, added the plaid and then the photos.  The dark brown pattern behind the photos is actually from one of the card board pieces from the embellishment packs.  I needed some contrast to the pastels and this was the perfect addition!

I did some fussy cutting here for the embellishments.  I cut out flowers from the "Cherish" paper.  I also cut out a heart to frame up the "Twinkle, Twinkle" sentiment on the journal card.

If you know me, you know I love Stickles, and you'll find them on this layout.  I used the Diamond Stickles on the flowers to make them shine.   Visit Fotobella.com to see the Graphic 45 Precious Memories I Want It All Bundle.
